Never Say Die!

Never Say Die!

Never Say Die! This is the last studio album of the original Black Sabbath lineup. “Never Say Die!” is not regarded as one of their best albums by hardcore fans, but this is a really fine album, it is my favorite of all Black Sabbath lineups, maybe because it is the first material I heard from the band, it served me as an introduction to the group, and it is not as doomy.

Ozzy sounds great, and the last song of the album is sung by Drummer Bill Ward. I got a hold of this album when I was thirteen. While visiting family, I found it in my cousin’s room, who was about nineteen or twenty. I asked my aunt if I could keep the record (along with Scorpions’ ”Tokyo Tapes”, and Van Halen’s “Woman and Children First”). She said yes against my cousin’s objections. I owe my cousin Carlos these albums. The songs I enjoy the most from this album are “A hard road”, “Never Say Die”, “Junior’s eyes” and “Swinging the Chain”.
